Zubaan Authors
Mishra, Samina Samina Mishra (born 1969) studied history at St Stephens College, Delhi University and Mass Communications at the Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. She has worked in the field of documentary – as a researcher, writer, sound recordist and filmmaker – since 1991. She also works as Sound Recordist and has recorded sound for several films including Words on Water, a documentary on the people’s movement in the Narmada Valley. Her fisrt book for children was Hina in the Old City, published by Tulika. She has conducted numerous workshops in Delhi and elsewhere encouraging creative writing, thinking and exploration for children. Her English translations of her great grandfather, Dr Zakir Husain's children's stories (The Magic Key series) were published by Young Zubaan in 2004. [Top] |
